030310_nyfarmshow1Despite heavy snowfall in the Northeast last week, there was no stopping the New York Farm show from celebrating its 25th anniversary in grand style.

The show, held in Syracuse, New York, February 25-27, featured over 425 commercial exhibits spread across multiple buildings at the New York State Fairgrounds.

Workshops and seminars treated show-goers to topics ranging from gas leasing to beef to safety and wildlife.  Staple features of the show included the 16th annual toy auction, with proceeds going to the Robert Watson Memorial FFA Scholarship Fund for New York FFA alumni, and the popular hot beef sundaes, made of mashed potatoes, roast beef, beef gravy, sour cream, cheddar cheese and a cherry (tomato) on top.030310_nyfarmshow3

The New York Farm show is one of the premiere indoor winter farm shows in the Northeast, pulling attendees from dairy, beef and forage operations to see the latest technologies and services available. New York and Pennsylvania rank third and fifth respectively in top dairy states in the U.S.
