The latest release of the DeLaval voluntary milking system, the VMS 2010, was awarded “Agricultural Machine of the Year 2010” at the Polish agricultural trade fair Agrotech, March 12-14.

User friendliness and robustness have been the key focus for DeLaval’s latest upgrade of its robotic milker. During the last decade the VMS has been continuously developed and upgraded, always seeking cost efficiency perfection.

The latest VMS further develops the touch-on screen for speed and control and adds even more agility, gentleness and flexibility to the hydraulic arm, allowing more cows to be milked. The 2010 model also integrates more optional features such as the Steam Backflush system to reduce the risk of contamination. The VMS 2010 comes with three extra liner alternatives.

According to a recent study by the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service, the DeLaval VMS ranks among the top Automatic Milking Systems (AMS) in the world for energy efficiency best practices.

Agrotech Kielce is an annual international exhibition of agricultural technologies and the most popular exhibition of its kind in Poland. The fair with nearly 500 exhibitors attracts more than 40,000 visitors from more than 15 countries. The prize was awarded by the Polish Institute of Building Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture.
