050112_rite_in_rainRite in the Rain, all-weather writing paper, has released a new line of record books specifically for the dairy industry.

These treatment books help producers comply with FDA record keeping requirements and avoid regulatory action in case of an accidental residue violation.

New items include #1636 Dairy Treatment Record book and #1637 Calf Treatment Record book.

According to the FDA Compliance Policy Guide (CPG) Sec. 615.200, FDA requires a producer to maintain a system of medication/treatment records that, at a minimum, identifies:
  • the animal(s) treated (individual animals, pens, lots, etc.)
  • the date(s) of treatment
  • the drug(s) administered
  • who administered the drug(s)
  • the amount administered
  • the withdrawal time prior to slaughter (and when milk, eggs, etc. can be used, if appropriate)

Each book includes a Veterinarian/Client/Patient Relationship Form, Animal Treatment Plan, Approved Drug List and space to record 400 individual treatment records on Rite in the Rain all-weather writing paper.

Rite in the Rain has made a special offer to Progressive Dairyman readers: free shipping on orders of more than $30. Just mention the code "ProDairy" when you order.

Rite in the Rain is a patented, environmentally responsible, all-weather writing paper that sheds not only rain, as the name implies, but sweat, humidity, animal fluids and even the accidental trip through the washing machine. Rite in the Rain paper enables you to write anywhere, in any weather condition.

For almost a century, Rite in the Rain has been the all-weather paper solution for outdoor professionals worldwide. Products include copier paper, field books, notebooks, loose leaf, grid sheets and all-weather pens. Custom printing is also available.  PD
