The goal of the California Dairy Management Seminars is to provide science-based information and discussion on topics contributing to the continued success and profitability of dairy operations in California. The seminars will be presented separately in English and Spanish.

Producer panel to discuss Hispanic labor management at Midwest Dairy Expo PDF Print E-mail

This year’s Midwest Dairy Expo will take place November 26-28 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Among the many events at this year’s expo is a producer panel discussion which will take up the topic of Hispanic labor management.

During this one-hour session, panelists will share their history and how they achieved success with labor management on their operations, current somatic cell counts, milking procedures and the rules and protocols they developed on their dairies. They will also respond to questions from other producers.

The second annual Latinos in Agriculture Leaders Forum recently convened at the El Tropicano Riverwalk hotel in San Antonio, Texas, October 17-19, 2012.

The Leaders Forum brought together representatives from industry, government, and education to continue the dialog about how to capitalize on the potential Hispanic/Latino talent has in the future of agriculture.

This hands-on workshop, which will be taught in Spanish, is being offered in four locations around Pennsylvania in November. Cost is $25 per person. All sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
