Editor's note: This video relates to the February 25, 2014 article, "Does dehorning lead to depression?"

The video below highlights a calf performing the initial training task before dehorning. This calf was trained to approach the red "positive" screen for a milk reward but needed to wait if the white "negative" screen was shown. Calves turned on the screen by touching the start button on the right side of the pen.
