Do you get our digital edition? Here’s why you should

Published on 28 September 2018

This year, I set a goal to read something new each day for 15 minutes. My favorite genre is business and self-improvement, so I’ve been reading book titles like The Culture Code and When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing.

I have a bulging folder of article clippings from the Wall Street Journal and business magazines to read. Also, I have a folder in Dropbox with PDFs of web articles I’d like to read sometime. I probably have more material queued than one could feasibly read in a year.

Why do I have so much?

I’ve found part of the key to meeting my daily reading goal is to have material ready whenever and wherever I have the time. My most free moments are often those spent waiting. You never know when those few free precious minutes will appear. If I don’t have something ready to read, then I’m tempted to waste those moments on social media or by checking email.

You’ve probably experienced the same thing. You have a few moments before the TMR is ready to feed, or you’re waiting for someone to arrive to start herd check. If you’ve ever struggled to make these moments productive, consider reading an article from our new Progressive Dairyman digital edition.

The new edition has been optimized for viewing on a smartphone or tablet. That means you can enjoy one of the many articles from that hard copy of the magazine sitting on your kitchen table or next to your recliner, all from the cab of your tractor or the seat of your truck. Wherever you have connectivity, you’ll have access to efficiency-enhancing articles and insights.

We understand how difficult it can be to find time to read all that you want to read. (I don’t make my daily goal to leisurely read as often as I would like, too.) Many of you requested this better on-the-go reading option. It’s now here. Thanks for letting us know it would be useful to you.

If you aren’t presently subscribed to our digital edition, you can get subscribed by calling (800) 320-1424 or visiting Progressive Dairy subscriptions options to get signed up.

Once you’re signed up, you’ll have access to the content you wanted to read last night before you fell asleep after a long day chopping corn for silage. I can’t help much with the drowsiness, but maybe I can help you make a bigger dent in your want-to-read pile.  end mark
