Progressive Dairyman asked several companies exhibiting at World Dairy Expo to highlight a few of the new products that will be on display at the show.

Simplify vet check days
Vet Check Maxx by Dairy Records Management Systems (MC 37-38) simplifies and streamlines vet check day for producers. With this new application, you just grab a tablet and go since the cows to check are quickly identified by a powerful filtering system.

The application allows both information lookup and data entry on the same screen, making it quick and easy to provide the vet with all necessary information and then quickly enter the vet’s findings or actions for each cow.

Quickly move between the last cow checked and the next cow in line. The application is also RFID compatible. An integral part of PocketDairy, the application is available to PCDART users across the country who have an Android tablet.

Farmeron introduces mobile app
The newest iteration of Farmeron’s (EH 1613) Android app brings additional features to dairy farmers. The app includes the ability to record and monitor animal profile, production, event recording and fertility event recording.

The mobile app syncs with your farm’s data servers without the need to be connected to the same network. If an Internet connection is unavailable, data will be stored in an offline database and synced when a network connection is available.

Herd management software
BoviSync (TC 903) is the next generation of herd management software. Easily import all the farm’s records into one place, so that it can be utilized in the herd’s management. All records and data entry can be done on a computer or other device.

All the data is synced and backed up automatically. Protocols and SOPS, which can be easily added or modified, assist in creating detailed chores that are assigned to employees to improve labor management and compliance tracking.

Calf-Star releases SCC device
Somatic cell count testing can now be done in the milking parlor with the Calf-Star (EH 3617-3718) RT10 cow-side SCC device. By using the device with an iPhone or iPod Touch, SCC reading can be determined in seconds.

A sample is deposited on a slide where it is automatically mixed with reagents to identify somatic cells. The imaging technology of the device scans the milk. An image of the scan is captured by the iPhone or iPod Touch camera and is analyzed by the app. Results are displayed on the devices seconds later.

Introducing the QScout Farm Lab
Advanced Animal Diagnostics (EH 4212) present the QScout Farm Lab, an on-farm rapid diagnostic analyzer that accurately detects subclinical mastitis in individual quarters of dairy cows by measuring MLD (milk leukocyte differential).

The analyzer provides results fast with an average of three minutes per sample. In addition, the analyzer can handle a maximum of 20 slides at a time which allows the operator to perform other tasks while the analyzer performs the diagnostic tests.

FarmMaven introduces MilkMaven
MilkMaven by FarmMaven (TC 804) is an advanced, real-time monitoring solution for your milking system that provides invaluable, true diagnostic support. The program employes state-of-the-art sensors that constantly check pulsation and vacuum, milk, wash and glycol temperature, while alerting the dairyman of out-of-compliance equipment.

The program offers suggestions on the source of a problem to give a head-start towards resolving the issue. It also lets users perform diagnostics of the milking phase ratios with the simple click of a button.

Enlight by Holstein USA and Zoetis
Enlight is a new online management tool designed to help Holstein dairy producers more efficiently manage herd genetics. The result of collaboration between Holstein Association USA (MC 29-31) and Zoetis (EH 3811-3913), this product will provide dairy producers with a comprehensive view of herd-level and individual animal genetic performance.

Genomic samples submitted will be analyzed for optimizing selection and management of dairy replacement females. Once samples are processed, producers can analyze results through the website, which is available 24/7 on all devices. Users also will have immediate access to a diverse suite of reporting and analysis tools to translate genetic and genomic data into effective selection, management and mating decisions.

DCC Waterbeds Junior
DCC Waterbeds by Advanced Comfort Technology (EH 1713-1716) have a 10-year track record in providing comfort and low-maintenance durability for the milking herd. Now, with smaller beds for youngstock, producers can tie their comfort system together.

New MilkShuttle trailer
The newly developed Caddy – a trailer for the MilkShuttle by Urban Calf Systems (TC 807-833) reduces your walking and carrying every day. The new product holds up to 24 buckets, milk cans and all the necessary equipment you need for your calves like medicine, grain feed, water etc.

The equipment mixes your calf milk properly and fast, heats it up and doses in accurate quantities into the calf buckets. The product with or without the trailer is available in sizes of 100, 150, 200 and 250 liters.

Improved pen design
Calf-Tel (EH 2008-2309)introduced the first free-standing, completely modular, indoor pen system and now introduces the next-generation Pen System Front Door design. The new design works seamlessly with the company’s existing pens, but provides a number of enhanced features unique to the system designed to improve efficiency and productivity.

All-new exclusive features include: dual-point, door locking mechanism, door hinge that opens inward or outward and a feed opening for maximum flexibility.

GEA launches NCharge
GEA Farm Technologies (EH 2001-2307) offers an efficient and effective solution to easily manage and manufacture hygiene products on-farm. With only soft water from the dairy, a sodium chloride solution and some electrochemistry behind the scenes, the NCharge Hygiene Production System can create pre-dips, footbath solution, premise cleaner, water treatment, backflush solution and CIP products whenever they are needed.

In essence, the newly developed system incorporates an electrolytic cell and through an electrochemical activation process, the unit creates an extremely active germicidal solution called NCharge Concentrate.

The concentrate can be diluted or blended with unique additives to create a wide range of cleaning and sanitation products. The hygiene production system eliminates the costly shipping of water and the number of containers being shipped eliminates waste.

Udder Tech launches new products
Udder Tech (AR 500-503) has added a new color to their current line of clothing options. Waterproof bibbed overalls, shoulder guards and v-neck scrubs are now all available in green, in addition to the regular blue and black colors.

Overalls are available in size XS-XXXL, shoulder guards are available in small and regular, and the v-neck scrubs are available in size S-XL. All items are made from waterproof nylon that can be machine washed and dried.

Also being added to the product lineup are new milk testing aprons designed to hold test vials used for milk sampling. The apron is available in three styles – full apron, half apron, and belt style. All options are made from polyester fabric and are hand washable. The aprons are available in black only.

Jaguar Animal Health introduces neonatal calf care
Neonorm Calf is the latest advancement for neonatal calf care to help maintain proper gut health. The product is produced by Jaguar Animal Health, a new company committed to developing first-in-class gastrointestinal products for companion and production animals, and distributed by Animart (EH 2816-2918, 2915).

The new product is the first in a new class of products that work locally at the cellular level in the intestine. The new product normalizes water secretion and promotes normal stool formation while supporting gut health.

This non-prescription product is available as a small bolus for neonatal calves. The product is used twice daily upon the first sign of loose stools and is compatible with electrolytes and other standards of care.

Bag Man will supply boot varieties
Bag Man (AR 416-418) is excited to provide two new styles of boots this year at World Dairy Expo.
