CWT export assistance efforts focus on dairy products that positively impact producers’ milk checks: American-type cheeses, anhydrous milkfat, butter containing 82% butterfat, cream cheese and whole milk powder.

All these products are moving the components of U.S. dairy farmer milk overseas.

CWT member cooperatives submitted 686 requests for export assistance during the first three quarters of 2021. CWT provided assistance on 539 of these requests, resulting in contracts to sell 37.7 million pounds of American-type cheese, 12.7 million pounds of butter, 6.1 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF), 10.3 million pounds of cream cheese and 24 million pounds of whole milk powder (WMP). These sales are the equivalent of 1.1 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. end mark
