The boards of directors of Koepon Holding BV and Cooperative Resources International (CRI) have reached agreement on a plan to merge their organizations, the companies announced in a press release.

If successful, the organizations plan to formalize the merger by mid-2018. CRI cooperative operations will be maintained as part of the merged entity. The new organization will be incorporated and headquartered in Wisconsin.

Koepon is privately owned and headquartered in the Netherlands. Its companies include Alta Genetics, the largest privately owned A.I. company in the world; Valley Ag Software; PEAK Genetics; and SCCL, a producer of calf nutrition products.

CRI is a member-owned holding cooperative headquartered in Shawano, Wisconsin. CRI serves members and customers through diverse business segments: AgSource provides agricultural testing and informational services, GENEX provides cattle genetics and MOFA GLOBAL develops quality assisted reproductive technologies.

The agreement is nonbinding and subject to due diligence and other customary conditions, including receipt of requisite governmental and other consents and approvals. Once completed, final agreement will be conditional upon approval by both boards of directors as well as the delegates of CRI.  end mark
