Penn State Berkey Creamery's Peachy Paterno

Represented by: Emily Yeiser, dairy graduate student, Virginia

Q. Why did you select your flavor?
Peachy Paterno is a flavor near and dear to my heart. As a student at Penn State and now as an alumnus of the great institution, I have always loved spending football Saturdays in the at the greatest show in college football, Beaver Stadium, watching the infamous Joe Paterno coach one of the classiest football programs ever. Naming a flavor of ice cream after such an influential coach and person is one of the most fitting tributes in my opinion.

Q. Why should readers vote for your flavor?
Peachy Paterno allows for everyone, even those without a direct connection to Penn State, to taste a bit of history with every bite from championships to 400+ wins. And it’s made from the best Creamery in the nation.

Represented by: Rob Hull, dairy producer, Idaho

Q. Why did you select your flavor?
It is the perfect combination. The creamy smooth vanilla melts in your mouth, and you gotta love the crunch of the chocolate chips and the texture of the cookie dough. After all, who doesn't make a batch of cookie dough just to eat half of it?

Q. Why should readers vote for your flavor?
It's time cookie dough got the respect it deserves. Rich, creamy, and sweet as is or smother it in hot fudge and almonds for more chocolaty crunch.
