Yes, these are extraordinary times, and your dairy promotion checkoff is working in even more urgent ways to keep your milk moving and provide nutritious foods to families everywhere.

As we present clinics from coast to coast, we find youth, parents and leaders wondering where to begin with the dairy cattle clipping process.

The dairy checkoff has spent the last several months doing everything possible to move farmers’ milk and quickly get it into the hands of consumers. Working with partners in foodservice and retail, and teaming up with schools and feeding centers, we’re focused on keeping the pipelines moving during the pandemic.

All across the country this summer and fall, traditional youth shows and county fairs have been canceled. Fortunately, there are dedicated volunteers who have put together backyard shows, virtual shows and regional shows so the dairy youth who work so hard 365 days a year can show off their hard work.

Our marketing objective heading into 2020 was clear: Reset the narrative on dairy to reinforce industry strength and areas of growth while highlighting the vital role dairy plays in nourishing people, communities and the planet.

Our country’s food insecurity issue is too large, and it’s becoming exponentially larger as we manage our way through the COVID-19 crisis.
