Please describe your agricultural background.
I was raised on a 150-cow dairy, Burledge Holsteins, in Eastern Wisconsin where I was active in 4-H showing my Registered Holstein cows.

What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where I received a B.S. in Agricultural Marketing Communications and an M.S. in Agricultural Education.

What previous positions have you held?
After graduation, I was employed for four years with Semex Inc. in Northeast Wisconsin serving as a District Sales Representative. There, I served in a consultative role assisting farmers in maximizing their herd’s genetic potential.

What are your new responsibilities?
I will be marketing and selling Animart’s extensive sanitation product line. Everything from teat dips and CIP acids and detergents, to milking gloves, Udder Comfort, wash clothes and teat wipes. I will also have the opportunity to perform milk quality tests, and milk system analysis to educate dairyman on milk quality and sanitation standards and changes.

What territory will you cover?
Wisconsin and little of the surrounding states depending on current business opportunities.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
Working with the diverse product line and meeting more farmers!

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I didn’t come into this role knowing everything, nor will I tell producers that I do know everything. However, I do plan on learning a lot to not only teach producers, but also use as experience down the road when I get to farm.

What’s your best story from the first day on the job?
“Rockin’ Out” in the warehouse…..enough said.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I hope to gain extensive knowledge in the milk quality and sanitation field while utilizing my product line to assist producers in dealing with mastitis and somatic cell issues on their farms. PD
