Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
Without two influential individuals in my life, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today. My mom, Mary Holland, northeast regional manager with Commodity Specialist Company. Without her guidance I am not sure I ever would have considered agriculture. Also Reid Oliver with NCVS. Dr. Oliver believed in me and took every opportunity to educate me, regardless of the hours it added to his day. I hope I can mimic Dr. Oliver’s qualities in my career.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I have been educated in all aspects of dairy; however, I understand that life isn’t black and white. The reason for grey is because things are different on each farm, and to understand that we need to understand and meet the goals of individual producers. I have an open mind, and that is what will allow me to help the producers the most. As anyone who decides agriculture is their life, we all want the dairies to succeed. If they succeed, so do we.

Why did you choose this company?
I enjoy sharing the same core values as the company I work for.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
It is important to me to help producers and ABS become more profitable. The only way I will make ABS more profitable is by making the producer more profitable. This can be done through genetics. PD
