back to normal as quickly as possible.

It can be given immediately after calving or later on when problems arise. The flush not only assists with uterine problems post-calving but also sustains the cow’s reproductive performance, reducing the breed-back timeframe.

Optimum UterFlush contains essential oils with antimicrobial properties that maintain and restore normal uterine environment. A natural foaming agent called yucca helps the flush reach all areas of the uterus. This product is an all-natural, organic product that requires no milk withholding and leaves no drug residue.
The syringe has a dial to ensure the accurate amount is expelled when mixing the product.

cubic feet and an overall height of 100 inches, the Trioliet 1300 L ZK is a high-capacity single-auger mixer that can be loaded by most skid steers. The mixer has two large discharge doors – left and right. It can also be equipped with two-foot, three-foot or five-foot chain conveyors for bunk feeding.

The Trioliet 1300 L ZK comes standard with Trioliet’s 5/8-inch-thick Twin Stream auger and nine patented Trioform knives. For heavy hay diets, three more knives can be added to the auger and the auger can be upgraded to ¾-inch-thick flighting. The sidewalls are 5/16-inch thick and there is a ½-inch wear ring at the bottom of the tub to provide extended life.

For the 1300 L ZK, Trioliet designed a new 105-inch diameter auger that keeps the tub walls fairly straight which provides for excellent vertical feed movement and a high-quality consistent mix.

Provita launches new hoof gel
Provita recently launched a new hoof care product that has been designed to assist with hoof management on dairy farms.

071911_provitahoofgel

Provita Konquest hoof gel should be used for wrapping on hoof infections. The hoof gel combines organic acids and tea tree oil in a highly concentrated gel which has potent penetration action. The product has advanced bio-adhesion properties which help the gel stick to skin and hoof. It is formulated to remain stable in warm weather but flexible in cold weather, allowing it to be spread easily in all conditions.

While Konquest should be used as part of a routine herd management program, in severe cases farmers should consult their veterinarian about combining antibiotics along with hoof wrapping for better results.
Konquest is easy to use on skin lesions around the hoof; just scrape off dead tissue, cover the affected area with gel and apply a hoof wrap bandage. Remove bandage after three days. Repeat seven days later if required. For claw lesions, trim hooves and follow the same process.
