Innovacyn launches Super 7+ Navel Dip
Innovacyn Inc. has launched Super 7+ Navel Dip, an umbilical cord dry-out and protective solution for newborn animals. The iodine-free formula of alkaline-electrolyzed water speeds the drying process and protects the umbilical cord.
It comes in two sizes – gallon jug and pint trigger bottle – and can be applied to large animals using a dip cup or squeeze bottle. The liquid includes a brown dye to help identify treated animals.
Unlike tincture of iodine, the new product has negligible cytotoxicity, according to the company, and is non-flammable and non-corrosive. This advanced hypertonic solution can also be used directly on calves whose umbilical cords were torn at birth.
The product, which has an expected shelf life of 24 months, has no special handling requirements except for following precautions on the label and does not require hazardous shipping fees or material paperwork. PD
