Here’s a look at a few of the products introduced to the market at that show. 
Checchi & Magli WolfPro transplanter
Planting into plastic mulch cover is where the Checchi & Magli WolfPro comes in handy. Planting hemp transplants into plastic covering, the WolfPro cuts through plastic moving 1 to 1.5 mph, for a delivery of 1,200 to 1,500 plants per hour per row It packs the dirt around the plant. The cups turn in a “Ferris wheel” motion, with 1- to 3-inch adjustable cup sizes. The unit comes in two configurations, one with seating facing forward and the other facing backward.
Balzer Field Floater 7 grain cart
The new Balzer grain cart unloads 1,090 bushels per minute and can fill a semi in 90 seconds. The 24-inch unload auger carries a bi-directional unload auger spout. Hydraulic suspension and patented steerable axles round out the offering.
Meyer Boss 9130RT box trailer
The Meyer Boss 9130RT semi trailer has a full enclosed welded I-beam frame to handle stresses from axles, jacks and fifth-wheel. With an 80,000 GVW (empty weight 17,200 pounds), it stretches 40 feet in length with a 98-inch width. Maximum net load (off-road) is 27 tons. It’s built with stainless steel side panels and solid poly floor.
McFarlane Cobra Reel Disk 4100
In the world of vertical tillage, McFarlane introduces the Cobra Reel Disk 4100, which loosens the top 2 to 3 inches of soil but leaves the seedbed firm. This ensures accurate seed depth at planting. Various models have cutting widths from 12 feet, 3 inches to 45 feet, 8 inches. Operating speed is 7 to 9 mph.
Case IH Vestrum Series tractors
With livestock producers in mind, the new Vestrum compact tractor delivers comfort and high horsepower with a four-cylinder engine with turbocharger. The short wheelbase aids maneuverability in tight spaces for winter feeding, as well as snow removal. Two transmission options include the CVXDrive continuously variable transmission and ActiveDrive 8 dual-clutch transmission. This is the first Case IH tractor in the 100-horsepower class available with these transmission options.
Yanmar snow blade
It may be warming up, but you know that snow is coming again. Be prepared with the Yanmar front-loader snow blade. The 72-inch width and 23-inch height has five angle positions and needs only 21 to 24 horsepower.
Sioux portable loading chute S224825
Rather than moving the cows to the chute, this chute allows ranchers to move the chute to the cows. A 16-foot portable loading chute weighs 1,250 pounds. It’s powder-coated for toughness. Inside width is 32 inches, and tire-to-tire width is 63 inches. Deck length is 192 inches. It lowers to 2-foot floor height for transportation stability. It includes a catwalk and 2-inch ball hookup.
Woods BH85 groundbreaker backhoe
Who doesn’t love projects that include a backhoe? Woods has a BH85 backhoe that mounts to a 30- to 100-horsepower tractor. This unit includes the first curved boom on a residential model, with 8.5-foot and 10-foot digging depth. The heavy-duty, high-capacity bucket width is
Land Pride rotary cutter RCB5715
Land Pride introduced their toughest mower yet, with the RCB5715, a 50- to 250-horsepower pull-type extra-heavy-duty cutter with self-leveling ball and constant level swivel clevis and ball hitch. This cutter sports a 15-foot working width (16-foot overall width). The deck can be set for a 1.5-inch mowing height, up to 16 inches. Blade tip speed is 16,400 feet per minute.
Hitchdoc HSC240 bulk seed cart
Hitchdoc brought their bulk seed cart with a 192-bushel capacity. It operates from an 8-horsepower Honda motor with options for scales included or upgraded. It unloads at 800 pounds per minute. The conveyor is a 6-inch tube running 20 feet long with 8-inch cleated belt. It’s a bumper-pull unit and has wireless remote with manual switch functions on the cart. It’s equipped with a Shur-Co roll tarp and manual slide gates.

Go ahead, take a guess what this is. No clue? Well, folks, it’s a chew toy for pigs. Yup. Who knew? Apparently since pigs like to chew on each other, producers often use bowling balls in the pens to give them something to do. But pigs are “clean” animals, and they like clean chew toys, not the kind that roll around in the manure. So here is Easy Fix’s answer. And you heard it here first.
Mathews Company Delta Series D600 grain dryer
Grain dryer specialists from Mathews Company introduced the D600 mixed-flow grain dryer. Features on this unit include enclosed wet hopper with gravity fill, pre-heat ducts that warm the grain before it enters the heat chamber, the external heat chamber (keeping the burner flame isolated), tapered ducts to evenly distribute drying air across the grain column and high-efficiency burners with quiet drying fans. The moisture control unit features DryerMaster technology, ensuring uniform grain moisture. The 10-inch U-trough auger is optional, but touchscreen controls and remote-control applications are included.
JCB ag telehandler
JCB’s 542 ag telehandler with next-generation cab reaches lift capacity of 9,000 pounds. Lift capacity at full reach is 3,000 pounds. The engine is 125 horsepower and reaches maximum speed at 20 to 25 mph. So next time you’re stacking those big bales or pushing up sugarbeets, you’ll appreciate the cab with increased HVAC performance and faster defrost time, as well as standard USB, audio and Bluetooth connectivity.
Sukup grain unloading power sweep
What’s different in this 10-inch U-trough is the new flexible pivot (double chain sprocket) that allows the sweep to follow the contour of the floor. This heavy-duty unit requires 13.25-inch floor clearance. It comes with two independent rack and pinion openers – one controls the center sump and first intermediate sump, and the other opener controls the rest of the intermediate sumps in tandem. The 16-to-1 reduction drive wheel decreases wheel speed without sacrificing forward movement. With lower speeds, wheel slippage is reduced and wheel life is prolonged.
Gehl 950T articulated loader
The new articulated loader has a straight tipping load with forks of 10,974 pounds. At 143 horsepower, the loader operates with hand and foot throttle controls. A single multifunction joystick makes operation easy, and hydrostatic transmission with inching pedal and hydraulically actuated differential lock provides increased traction.
Great Plains hemp seed disc
Hemp, hemp, hemp on the brain. But to be fair, the show was in Kentucky, who had a pilot program raising hemp before it was legalized for the rest of the nation. Even though processing the crop (or lack of processing plants) is causing quite a bit of angst in Kentucky, there was a fair amount of hemp production equipment showcased – planters mostly because apparently the harvesting process is still experimental.
Great Plains offers specially designed hemp seed discs for the PL Series and Yield-Pro planters to achieve precise placement. The five-cell seed disc is designed for low population seeding rates, from 2,000 to 5,000 seeds per acre. It’s capable of 98% singulation accuracy at up to 6 mph, on row spaces from 20 to 60 inches.
