Please describe your agricultural background

I grew up on a crop/livestock farm near Worthington, Minnesota.

What education are you bringing to this position?
I received my bachelor's degree, D.V.M and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

What are your new responsibilities?

I will oversee and coordinate Milk Specialties Global’s animal research activities. I will also pursue enhancements and/or improved uses of current products. Another responsibility includes developing new products that embody significant and meaningful innovation for customers and fit within MSG’s core competencies. I will also work with the Scientific Advisory Council, which will be appraised of emerging trends and scientific findings.

What excites you most about working in this new role?
I am most excited for the opportunity to work with a strong team that is passionate about what they are doing and the company’s impressive core manufacturing competencies. In addition, I really liked the visible day-to-day passion to get things done and commitment to outstanding service and top-quality, science-based products.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I will identify and commercialize meaningful innovations that help livestock customers prosper and fit with MSG’s core manufacturing competencies.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goals include bringing science-based innovative products to the market that provide meaningful value to customers and helps MSG continue as a leader in animal nutrition and to have fun with others as we shape our tomorrow.

What previous positions have you held?
I previously worked as a partner in a mixed animal practice, Slayton Veterinary Clinic. I was also a teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota graduate school. I was a research leader at Land O’Lakes. Most recently, I was the Director of Nutrition and Marketing at Ridley/Hubbard Feeds.
